Blue dots and pin icons indicate available bikes locked outside of a hub/station. These bikes are available to rent, and upon returning to a hub you may receive a rebalancing credit on your account if applicable.
Green dots and pin icons indicate a hub/station that contains bikes that are available for rent. The number displayed on the icon represents the number of available bikes. A pin icon with radio waves at the bottom signifies that there is a kiosk at this hub.
Gray dots and pin icons indicate that a hub/station is empty of bikes. Same as above, radio waves signify hubs with a kiosk.
A bike that has been booked in advance through the web or mobile app disappears from the map because it has been reserved, preventing other users from looking for it or reserving it.
